About Us

We are a Christian church in Glasgow, more specifically in Govan, which is a unique community proud of its very precious historical heritage. Our congregation is made up of people of all ages and backgrounds. As we explore the Christian faith and gospel together we try to care for one another and all whom we meet.

We celebrate worship at three different worship sites spread throughout the community: at Linthouse on Sunday at 11am, and in Govan Old Mo.-Fr. at 10am. We also have Messy Mondays, an alternative worship which meets each Monday from 5.30 – 7.00 pm during term time for family worship. Our building on Govan Cross is currently out of action for services due to building work however the hall and office is still in use.

We would be delighted to welcome you any time. Our invitation goes out to you to participate in our worship or any other running events.

Guild

We meet on a Monday night during the months of October-December and February-May, in our Linthouse Building from 7.30pm, enjoying fellowship with a variety of speakers, singing and entertainment. All are welcome.

We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion once every three months and we extend a warm invitation to you to join us for any of our services.

The Communion Service takes place on the fist Sunday in the months of March, June, September and December. We would love it if you could come and join us.

These dates are applicable to our Linthouse Building at 11 am.

Communion at Govan Old will take place on a monthly basis on the last Sunday of each month at 9.45 am. (With the exception of Easter and Christmas, the service will be on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day).

Saturday Tearoom

Open from 11am - 2pm in Govan Cross Hall each Saturday. Fantastic homemade soup, rolls and sausage, toasties, and the best home baking in Glasgow. Pop along for bite to eat and a chat, we'd love to see you there.

Jul

Formal Opening of the new Govan Pathway & Family Fun Day - Members of the Govan community are invited to join us and our special guest, Sir Alex Ferguson, at the formal Opening of the new Govan Pathway at Water Row, near Govan Cross, on Friday 7 July from 12.30pm. The pathway project has transformed a derelict local site adjacent to the former Govan Old church which sits on one of the most important historic sites in the City of Glasgow. The pathway runs 200 metres along the river-edge and is designed to draw people from the Riverside Museum via the Govan ferry to visit the A-listed building and the medieval Govan Stones. We want more visitors to enjoy and appreciate Govan's outstanding heritage. As part of the day's event there will be a Family Fun Day at Govan Old, with lots of activities for children, including bouncy castles, face painting, armour displays, art activities etc.
